Rashay Layman is a skilled public relations professional based in Columbus, Ohio, with a background in advocacy and energy policy. She began her journey at Thomas Worthington High School, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business from Muskingum College. Rashay’s early career featured impactful roles with Working America and the Sierra Club, focusing on environmental campaigns.
 

After a career break to raise her two children, she returned with an MBA, transitioned to the energy sector managing utility projects, and founded Sown Strategies, a public relations and consulting firm. She currently serves as Senior Public Relations Manager at ESA. Active in the community, Rashay is a Girl Scout troop leader and has served on the board of CHOICE, a nonprofit promoting homebirth options.
